Seasonal FOH Barista
We are hiring for a seasonal (April - August) experienced barista for all locations.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum commitment of working 2 days per week
Must have open availability, including weekends
At least 1 year of barista experience
Positive attitude + great sense of urgency
Passion for seasonal foods + hospitality
Must have high attention to detail
Great time management skills
Team focused
Ability to work in a flow for a fast-paced environment
Handles high volume with ease
NYC Food Handlers Certification or willingness to obtain this within the the first few months of working
Must be able + comfortable lifting up to 20lbs
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESWorking behind the counter + maintaining the retail floor (pastry case, service bar, outside seating area, retail shelves, cold cases)
Provide excellent customer service
Remaining informed + up-to-date on our brand identity + offerings to act as great brand ambassadors
Working alongside Shift Leads & General Manager to maintain overall store operations
Maintaining cleanliness by Poppy’s + NYC DOH standards
Reporting any customer feedback or issues that arise during the shift to Shift Leaders and/or GM
Uphold a FIFO label + date system especially for perishable items
Enter + update inventory numbers daily for our pastries + savory food items
Processing online orders
Accounting for waste
